The lineage of our golden retriever parents has been carefully selected based on a classic golden look, mannerisms we believe are well suited for families, and health testing that meets our standards. We occasionally add new parents to the program to bring diversity to the line, and we also place the pick of most litters into guardian homes so they can be considered for breeding when they’re of appropriate age. Here’s a look at our current line up of parents in the Southern Water Dogs breeding program.
Grace is one of the most loving and loyal females in our crew. She is a beautiful, petite, English Cream golden with Ukrainian background. She loves her humans, has the cutest smile and gives the best hugs. Yep, you heard that right! We can’t wait too see her become an amazing mom.
Willow is a happy go lucky gal. She enjoys digging for the perfect spot to lay in outside in the yard and running around with the other doggos. She has a beautiful, thick, light golden coat and the sweetest eyes you’ve ever seen.
Ruby is a sweet, shy gal. She is the sister to Shelby and they are both equally amazing. She is so beautiful and loving. Ruby is such a happy girl with a lighter golden coat and a short stature and will make beautiful pups in the future! We can’t wait to see her become a mom.
Shelby has the reddest coloring of all of our goldens, and paired with Hudson, one of our sires, she will produce gorgeous red puppies with long, shiny coats. Shelby lives in a guardian home where she receives exceptional love and training from her family and her adopted sibling, a cat. Shelby is incredibly intelligent, and is currently training to become a future therapy dog.
Daisy is an adventurer and absolutely loves to be outside. Although she really enjoys being in the yard and chasing the sun, she also enjoys snuggling up with you on the couch at the end of the night. Daisy is so gentle and has such a soft, dark golden coat that you could easily mistaken for velvet.
Magnolia (callname Maggie) is a spunky sweetheart who loves to chase sticks, wade in water, and cozy up in our bed at night to snuggle. She is an English Cream golden retriever with a light colored coat and a gorgeous tail with long, feathery hair.
Gala is a sweet soul who wants as many head and ear rubs as humanly possible. She will be your best friend and shadow everywhere you go. Gala has a beautiful medium golden coat and has the sweetest smile. You will find Gala holding her own against the boys when chasing sticks and balls, she is a tough cookie with a huge heart.
Eliza was the pick of the litter from one of Moshe and Magnolia’s litters. She has outstanding confirmation to the breed, and will grow into a beautiful lady! Eliza is a part of our guardianship program. When she becomes of age and is fully health tested, she’ll be bred with a male from a new lineage to bring diversity to our program.
Violet is a stunning light colored golden with a gorgeous coat! She is extraordinarily intelligent and consistently seeks your approval and direction. Violet has a way of staring deep into your eyes as if she can read your mind. She is a petite golden with slender composition and elegant stature. Violet is quite the lady, and is lovingly attached to her guardian family, where she lives with them at the beach.
Now retired, Darby is a light colored golden retriever with a wavy, light-colored coat. She’s now living at her forever home, but in partnership with Twin Leaf Golden Retrievers, Darby had beautiful puppies with calm and snuggly personalities.
Hudson is a beautiful dark red golden who has recently joined our program. He is ridiculously handsome and so very sweet. He has fantastic feathering and the most loving personality.
Moshe is a 100 pound gentle giant who absolutely adores people. He comes from a long line of Champion and Grand Champion AKC golden retrievers including his grandparents and his great-grandparents, and has a classic golden retriever look. His fur is very dark blonde and he has a long, silky coat.
Finn is a spunky boy who loves to snuggle. He likes to be held like a baby, which works for now, but we’ll see how long until he gets too big for that! He is very curious and confident, and surprises us everyday with his agility and intelligence. After he fully matures and completes his health testing, we are excited to meet his future puppies and know they’ll be incredible family dogs.
Beau is a born swimmer who loves competitive dock diving! He wasn’t able to sire any litters due to carrying a genetic predisposition for cataracts, so instead, Beau is currently in the process of being certified as a therapy dog. After his certification, he will visit hospitals, schools, nursing homes, libraries and more, where he can take care of those who may need an extra dose of love.
You’ve met the parents. Ready to see their beautiful puppies?!
