We offer a few options for adopting our puppies to support your family’s specific goals.

Option 1 - Purchase a Puppy

For those seeking a golden retriever puppy without breeding rights, our current pricing is $2,800 and includes:

AKC limited registration
Deworming
First round of vaccinations
Wellness vet check prior to go home day
30 days of free pet insurance from Trupanion
Digital family photos of the six-week meet and greet visit with your new puppy
One year limited health guarantee
Blanket with the scent of Mom and littermates to make the transition a bit easier
Food scoop to help guide the appropriate amount of food for a healthy weight
Voucher for one free swimming lesson during our summer dock diving & swimming sessions in Asheville, NC, OR one free introductory obedience training session.

We are committed to extensive health testing.

If you’re interested in breeding your puppy down the road, we sell full registration AKC golden retrievers for an additional fee.

We also offer add-on training packages if you’d like us to kickstart your puppy’s training program prior to your puppy going home. Learn more about our training services here.

You may pick up your puppy at the Southern Water Dogs facility in Asheville, NC, or we’re happy to hand deliver your puppy via car or plane. We have puppy owners located across the United States!

Option 2 - Become a Guardian Home

We also offer a guardianship option for those who are interested in the breeding process or those seeking a top-notch puppy with an adoption fee of only $1.00.

The guardianship program was designed to provide a family environment for all of our breeding females. While on-site kennels would be convenient, we’ve found that they don’t provide a life of adventures, snuggling, and family bonding that we believe each dog deserves.

By participating in the guardianship program, one of our most beautiful puppies will live with you and be eligible for the breeding program after the age of two years old.
